Have you ever found yourself asking any of these questions?
- What is the purpose of life?
- Who am I?
- Where am I going?
- Where did I come from?
So many of us spend most of our lives searching for the answer to these questions—without ever getting any closer than where we started.
Many modern authors have tried and failed to get at the fundamental roots of existence. Many have resorted to stating that “nobody really knows” and it is “unknowable.”
Through his life, author L. Ron Hubbard worked hard to research and investigate the mind, spirit and life. He travelled the world as a young man and studied 21 different cultures on six continents to discover the fundamentals of life. He discovered principles so basic they have never been described at any point in man’s history—until now.
In Scientology: The Fundamentals of Thought, you will embark on a remarkable journey, mastering the tools of life as you uncover the most important discovery you will ever make—the knowledge of you.
From the forward of the book:
“THIS THIN BOOK is a summation, if brief, of the results of fifty thousand years of thinking men. Their materials, researched and capped by a quarter of a century of original search by L. Ron Hubbard, have brought the humanities, so long outdistanced by the "exact sciences," into a state of equality, if not superiority, to physics, chemistry and mathematics.
“Mr. Hubbard, an American, studied nuclear physics at George Washington University in Washington, DC, before he started his studies about the mind, spirit and life. This explains the mathematical precision of the Scientology religion.
“What has been attempted by a thousand universities and foundations, at a cost of billions, has been completed quietly here.
“This is how life works. This is how you change men and women and children for the better. …
“No such knowledge has ever before existed, and no such results have ever before been attainable by Man, as those which can be reached by a study of this brief volume.
“Give this book to a man or a woman in trouble, a man or a woman with an inquiring nature, a man or a woman with associates who need a better life, and let that man or woman study this volume carefully and apply it. Change and a better life will result. …
“We trust you will find this volume of use and hope that by placing it in your hands, you and many others can lead better lives.”
Get this book to learn and apply the fundamental principles that define the way life works. Achieve a complete understanding of the mind, spirit and life. Recognize what motivates your actions and the actions of others, and unblock the barriers of the potential you have locked inside yourself.
Life is a game—and in this book are the rules. You can be happier, more capable and play a better game.

About the Author
“To know life you’ve got to be part of life. You must get down there and look, you must get into the nooks and crannies of existence, and you must rub elbows with all kinds and types of men before you can finally establish what man is.”L. Ron Hubbard
L. Ron Hubbard was an adventurer, explorer, master mariner, pilot, writer, filmmaker, photographer, musician, poet, botanist and philosopher.
At 13 years of age, he became America’s youngest Eagle Scout. By the age of 19 Ron had traveled over a quarter million miles exploring the South Pacific and traversing much of China and India. He was one of few Western adventurers to enter the forbidden Tibetan lamaseries in the Western Hills of China. He broke bread with Mongolian bandits, hunted with Pygmies in the Philippines, encountered Cantonese pirates in the China Sea, in all he studied 21 primitive races and cultures.
L. Ron Hubbard had seen life from every angle. He had seen man at his best and at his worst and put himself in their shoes, quite literally.
His unique philosophy does not stem from the quiet contemplations of a man who spent all his life in a classroom, but from the full life of one who has been there and done it. The world itself his classroom and Life was his teacher. As L. Ron Hubbard once wrote:
“I have lived no cloistered life and hold in contempt the wise man who has not lived and the scholar who will not share.
“I have seen life from the top down and the bottom up. I know how it looks both ways. And I know there is wisdom and that there is hope.”L. Ron Hubbard
L. Ron Hubbard has received over 4,000 awards, proclamations, recognitions, acknowledging a lifetime of creative and humanitarian service—especially for his work in the fields of mental healing technology, drug rehabilitation, education, criminal reform, moral resurgence and the arts.
